PROGRAM OF THE TOURS

You will arrive in Sarajevo Airport and will be welcomed by one of our staff who will take you to your hotel.

2 day – Visiting spring of the river Bosna, tunnel of hope and old town Bascarsija

On the tour you will discover why it was built in the first place and why it is so importnant to visit it. After all this history and buildings it is time to enjoy in nature. Spring of river Bosnia is most beautifull and visited park in Sarajevo. There you can enjoy fresh air, numerous water streams, watching birds, fish, swans and ducks. Our next destination is The Sarajevo Tunnel, also known as Tunel spasa or Tunnel of Hope. We will see and go through the Tunnel itself, but only for 25 meters. The Ottoman Empire made Sarajevo an important administrative centre by 1850. Baščaršija was built becoming an old bazaar and a historical and cultural center of the city in the 15th century when Isa-Beg Isaković founded the town. The word Baščaršija derives from the Turkish language.

3 day – Departure to city Bihac, visiting city Travnik, lake and waterfall in city Jajce

Travnik  is a town and municipality in central Bosnia and Herzegovina, 90 kilometres west of Sarajevo. It was the capital city of the governors of Bosnia from 1699 to 1850, and has a cultural heritage dating from that period. Travnik is located near the geographic center of Bosnia and Herzegovina . The river Lašva passes through the city, flowing from west to east before joining the Bosna. Travnik itself is built in the large Lašva valley, which connects the Bosna river valley in the east with the Vrbas river valley in the west. Jajce is a town and municipality located in the central part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The town is famous for its beautiful waterfall where the Pliva River meets the river Vrbas. It was thirty meters high, but during the Bosnian war, the area was flooded and the waterfall is now 20 meters high. The flooding may have been due to an earthquake and/or attacks on the hydroelectric power plant further up the river.

4 day – Visiting waterfalls Strbacki buk and Martin Brod

The legend behind the river’s name goes back to Roman times when a legionnaire had his first glance of the sparkling waters and uttered ‘Una, solo una’ (the only one), suggesting he had never seen anything like it in his life. You might feel the same. Rafting on the Una is becoming a national pastime. The annual international Una Regatta has increased so much in popularity that places in the three-day competition are booked months in advance. It’s a fabulous experience and more than worth a stop.
There are at least four different raft runs on the Una River, from two hours of easy rafting to six hours of up to class VI rapids. The most attractive, interesting and exciting part of the river is the Strbacki Buk-Lahovo run. This 15km route is a class IV-V run that conquers waterfalls you’ve only seen in films.

No other Bosnian town gives so much importance to water as the town of Martin Brod. Not so long ago all its inhabitants lived from and thanks to water and its energy. There is a stream flowing by almost every house in Martin Brod; in recent times each of them have provided power for one or even two mills. eople from surrounding areas brought grains to Martin Brod and thanks to the skill of its people and the power of water they managed to turn grains into flour. It was such a developed activity that the people from that area themselves never had the need to grow any crops, but they provided them by interchanging them for the power of wells that cross all over the area even today and surround almost every house.

5 day – Return to Sarajevo and visiting place Semesnica

We will visit area arround hotel Kostelski buk where you will make some of the amazing photos with the animals before we start toclimb up to Brekovica mosque and its breathtaking location over the Una valley. Semešnica is now a protected area.
10 km from the town of Donji Vakuf is an excursion area and fish rearing pond that can be reached via a gravel road. The excursion area is at the site where the Semešnica River descends in numerous cascades. This is the perfect place for a relaxing day trip in nature and visitors can enjoy freshly grilled trout.

6 day – Visiting Prokosko lake or city Srebrenica

Glacier made, Prokoško Lake is “nested” at 1636 m.a.s.l, with number of old, shingle covered, shepherd’s wooden huts – Katuni at its vicinity and amphitheatre of Vranica mountain behind, are definitely something not to miss for any nature lover during the trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina. No doubt about it. lake is visited by 20,000 tourists each year.

The Srebrenica massacre, also known as the Srebrenica genocide was the July 1995 of more than 8,000  Bosniaks, mainly men and boys, in and around the town of Srebrenica during the Bosnian War. The killings were perpetrated by units of the Bosnian Serb Army of Republika Srpska (VRS) under the command of Ratko Mladic.

7 day – Visiting Jablanicko lake, old bridge in city Mostar and spring of the river Buna

Mostar is situated on the Neretva River and is the fifth-largest city in the country. Mostar was named after the bridge keepers (mostari) who in the medieval times guarded the Stari Most (Old Bridge) over the Neretva. The Old Bridge, built by the Ottomans in the 16th century, is one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s most recognizable landmarks, and is considered one of the most exemplary pieces of Islamic architecture in the Balkans. The Buna is a short river in Bosnia and Herzegovina; it is a left bank tributary of the Neretva. Its source (Vrelo Bune), a strong karstic spring, is near the village Blagaj, southeast of Mostar. Actually, it is best known by famous Buna Spring (Vrelo Bune), one of the strongest spring in Europe and extremely cold water. The Buna flows west for approximately 9 km, starts at Blagaj and meandering through villages Blagaj, Kosor, Malo Polje, Hodbina and joins the Neretva at Buna village. The Bunica river is main left bank tributary of the Buna.
